Gerbils
Feed
Gerbils are easy animals. The best thing to feed them are seeds.
Gerbils will bury there food. Do not overfeed them all at once. Give
your gerbil about a spoonful or less of feed every other day.
Water
Clean their water daily. Make sure they always have water.
Companions
Gerbils are social animals. They need to be around other animals.
I put my gerbils with my rabbits sometimes. If they are not used
to the other animals make sure you watch them. It is hard to find
two gerbils who enjoy being together. Sometimes a male and a female are good together and sometimes two males are alright together.
Exercise
Gerbils are extremely active animals. I highly recommend exercise wheels for them. You can also do run about balls that they can run in.
Chew Sticks
Gerbils need stuff to chew on. I recommend having wood chew sticks.
Tunnels
Gerbils love tunnels!! You can get tunnels from any pet stores. Use tunnels to connect the cages. If you go to the pet store you will find many different cages. Gerbils are curious animals and will try to get out of the cages if they are bored. Make sure there are no holes in the cages that are open so they do not get out. They can chew through paper, duck tape over time, regular tape, and many other things. Be careful so your gerbil does not get out.
Chinchilla Dust
Chinchilla Dust is excellent for gerbils to play in. Chinchilla dust is like a powder. You can put chinchilla dust in their cage and they love to roll in it, lay in it, and play more in it.
